Apple Cake

 
 

Apple cake is a family favorite!

2 cups sugar

1 cup vegetable oil

2 eggs, beaten

2 cups flour

2 teaspoons cinnamon

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon vanilla

4 cups peeled and sliced apples (we like using Stayman, Gold Rush, and Pink Lady!)

1/2 cup chopped walnuts

  1. Cream together sugar and vegetable oil. Add beaten eggs.

  2. Mix in all remaining ingredients, saving apples and nuts for last. Spoon batter into greased and floured 9” x 13” pan.

  3. Bake at 350°F for 40-50 minutes.

  4. Serves with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream!
